2015 Champion, Thomas Campbell is presented the $20,000 low professional prize
Thomas Campbell of New Zealand who is a former Minnesota Golden Gopher won the 2015 North Star Open at Dellwood CC with a score of 68 - 70 = 138 (-6).  Jeff Berkshire was close behind at 4 under and Sam Ayotte finished third with a 3 under 141.  Hudson Carpenter of Stillwater won the low amateur cup with a 72-73 = 145 on the 7193 yard Part 72 layout.

Campbell opened up the tourney with a 68 and on the second day, played the difficult front nine at even par.  Nursing a two shot lead with six holes to play, Campbell played steady down the stretch birdieing the long Par 5's (#14 and #17) to hold off Berkshire and Ayotte.  Campbell had finished second in the recent Tapemark Charity Pro-Am and the South Dakota Open and was able to break through on a challenging course for the win.

Dellwood Country Club has recently completed a 9 million dollar renovation and provided a great venue for the pros. The North Star Tour mission is to bring a competitive professional golf experience to the aspiring tour professionals from MN.

We are happy to announce that The 2015 North Star Open will be held at Dellwood Country Club in Dellwood, MN.

Dellwood Country Club has held its reputation over the years as a difficult tournament course in the Twin Cities area. With its well placed water hazards and heavily sloped greens.  This will be an excellent place to start our tour and a great venue for the very first North Star Open.

The North Star Open will be a 36 hole event with no cut. The $50,000 professional purse pays out to the top 40% and ties.

Professionals will be playing for a $20,000 1st place prize and a trophy.
A limited number of spots will be available for amateurs to compete against the pros. The amateur purse pays out to the low 10 amateurs with $750 (shop credit) going to the low Amateur as well as a Trophy.

The tournament entry page is currently under maintenance but will be up and running soon.  So stay tuned and secure your spot early!
