Tournament Summary: The 2017 North Star Tour starts off with a fun event at The Wilds Golf Club in Prior Lake, MN. The Wilds is a Tom Weiskopf design with complex greens and scenic tee shots. A 2-Player format will add variety to the growing North Star Tour and hopefully attract the attention of golf fans around the area that recently witnessed similar formats during the 2016 Ryder Cup held only 25 minutes away.

Tournament Summary: The 2nd Memorial Classic will be played at Mississippi National Golf Links in Red Wing, MN. Mississippi National tests the creativity of the golfer with its interesting layout and winding slopes. Although the layout messures at less than 7,000 yards, players will need to place their ball in the right spots to score here. Last years event was a rainy birdie festival in which receptive greens yeilded plenty of low scores. Dan Woltman of Wisconsin, who spent the prior year playing on the European Tour set the pace with a tied course record, 63 and went on to win the event by 6 strokes over Donald Constable (former PGA Tour player) and Jacques Wilson (Amateur attending Charleston Southern University).
Format: 54 Hole Stroke Play (no cut) Estimated Prize Purse: $15,000 (paid out to top 40% and ties). $5,000 first place prize. 2016 Results: -Dan Woltman (-16) 1st Place Professional $6,000 -Jacques Wilson (-10) Low Amateur $500 (Shop Credit) |

Tournament Summary: The 3rd North Star Open will be played at Dellwood Country Club. Dellwood has always always been an infamously difficult course under tournament conditions. A recent 8 million dollar upgrade to the facilities and course certainly made Dellwood looking clean and polished. But beware, 15 of the 18 holes contain a water hazard and the greens can be extremely slick if you're on the wrong side of the hole. Last year Hudson Carpenter of Stillwater, MN broke unknown barriers by shooting the lowest tournament score of the the North Star Open (and quite possibly Dellwood CC's 36 hole tournament history) twice in a row in route to an impressive 5 stroke victory over the 97 player field of experienced mini tour professionals, PGA teaching pro's, collegiate golfers, and a few of Minnesota's best high school players. Finishing at 2nd was Joshua Manske (-7), 3rd was Donald Constable (-6), and 4th was Neil Johnson (-5). Format: 36 Hole Stroke Play, no cut Estimated Prize Purse: $15,000 Low Professional Prize (Sponsor Guarantee), purse estimated at $40,000 (paid out to top 40% and ties) 2016 Results: -Hudson Carpenter (-12) 1st Place Professional $10,000 -John Svac (-3) Low Amateur $750 (Shop Credit) |

Tournament Summary: This year we return to Stillwater Country Club as our very first Pro/Am format. We have teamed up with the Stillwater Area High School's golf programs to help fundraise for their teams. Stillwater Country Club is a hilly yet scoreable design that consistantly has some of the best kept greens in the state of Minnesota. Last year in the North Star Q-School Prep, Hudson Carpenter emerged victorious over Ross Miller in a sudden death playoff after they each raced to 5 under par through 18 holes. Not far behind was Sam Mathew at 3 under par, finishing alone in 3rd place.

2017 Update: 1st Round Pro/Member format will be adding money to the total purse! To register an amateur team please contact Thumper Pond.
Tournament Summary: The 2nd Cabin Classic will be played at Thumper Pond Resort and Golf Course. Thumper Pond is a beautiful setting for a golf tournament built in the center of an old tree farm. With nearly every fairway surrounded by penalizing trees, birdies are just as easy to make as bogey at Thumper. Last year Kelly Kretz of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, lead the field to a wire to wire victory at 8 under par. Coming in a close 2nd place (-6) was Alex Kline of Elk River, MN. MNPGA Professional, Julian Ramirez finished alone in 3rd place at 4 under.
