North Star Tour Player of the Year
Points Race
The 3rd full season of the North Star Tour features six tournaments around the state of Minnesota and one in Wisconsin. Each of these tournaments count towards two things. The first is an invite into the Tour Championship match play event. The second is The North Star Tour Player of the Year award. The winner of that award will be given a trophy and a free exemption into all regular season events for the following year (excludes Tour Championship and T.C. qualifier). The winner of last years award was Ross Miller, who won the Tour Championship Matchplay in 2017. These rewards will be graded by points gathered from placing well in our tournaments. The bottom line is the more tournaments you play in, the better chance you have at both qualifying for the tour championship and winning player of the year. The points are broken down in the order below.
Point Breakdown
- Points are split with ties (same as money)
- Points are not weighed by field size or strength
- Events with a cut:
The first player(s) to miss the cut is awarded 50% of the points from the place in front of him. The points proceed down 1 each place after that - Tour Championship: 1.5x the points for each place
